Abstract
Modern problems arising on the basis of globalization and environmental changes require higher education not only to adapt, but also to respond quickly to new conditions. The article presents the principles of sustainable development of education as an object of public administration aimed at ensuring accessibility and improving the quality of education, supporting scientific research, as well as integrating educational processes with the labor market; Measures have been proposed to develop the education system, including the introduction of new learning formats such as online courses and Lifelong Learning programs, which will create flexibility in educational activities.
