Abstract
The main objective of the study is to identify the peculiarities of public-law and private-law methods of regulating contractual relations, depending on the area of their emergence and subject composition. Particular attention is paid to the study of changes in legislation on the regulation of contractual relations in the course of the formation of a polycentric world order. The methodological basis of the study is both general scientific methods of cognition (analysis, synthesis, abstraction, concretization) and legal methods proper (formal-legal, historical-legal, comparative-legal, legal interpretation, predictive). The most general result of the study is the conclusion that contractual relations, being the subject of regulation of public and private law, differ in the methods of regulation depending on the object-subject composition, sphere of regulation, set goals and solved tasks. In modern conditions, when it is necessary to accelerate the development of the material production sector by introducing new technologies, mobilization of all kinds of resources for this purpose, the role of the state objectively increases, which, in turn, increases the specific weight of public-law regulation of contractual relations.
