TRADITIONAL RUSSIAN VALUES THROUGH THE EYES OF RUSSIAN YOUNG CITIZENS

Abstract

In this publication, the subject of the analysis is the attitude of the citizens of the Russian Federation to the state policy on the promotion of traditional values. In addition, the author raises the issue of the content of traditional values necessary for the upbringing of a loyal citizen. The article examines the work of researchers who dealt with the problems of traditional Russian values. A significant part of the authors expresses their position on the importance of concretizing the meaning of traditional values in both the legal and political fields. In addition, some researchers believe that monitoring public opinion will help correct the content of traditional values and eliminate risks in a timely manner as part of a policy to promote them. To achieve the objectives of the study, a survey was conducted among Russian citizens of the Saratov region, mainly among young people. The majority of respondents believe that traditional values are capable of educating a patriotic citizen. However, the list of traditional values presented in the Russian political and legal field needs to be updated and explained in detail. At the same time, the study revealed the respondents' concerns about the compatibility of the meaning of traditional Russian values with the meaning of the traditions of individual ethnic groups living on the territory of the Russian Federation.
