SOCIALIZATION OF STATE ECONOMIC POLICY THROUGH THE PRISM OF ECONOMIC SCHOOLS

Abstract

The article examines the issue of socialization of state economic policy in the context of major economic theories and their modern modified continuations, aiming to identify their potential and limitations in achieving goals such as social justice, equality, and protection of citizens' interests. The problem of inconsistency between current approaches in economic governance and the growing social expectations of society is highlighted. The relationship between the choice of an economic doctrine and the level of socialization of economic policy is analyzed, emphasizing the significant role of various economic theories in shaping the objectives and instruments of state economic policy. Three foundational economic paradigms – classical, Keynesian, and Marxist – along with their contemporary modifications: neoclassical, neo- and post-Keynesian, neo- and post-Marxist, are considered. The analysis reveals how each school conceptualizes the role of the state, mechanism for redistribution of resources and income, responsibility for societal well-being. Special attention is given to the interaction between economic and social policies, the influence of the dominant economic doctrine and ideological foundations of power on the level of their socialization, and the mechanisms to constrain the implementation of desocialized economic decisions. The study is based on economic theory as a product of scientific thought shaped by historical experience and the ideological framework of governance.
