Abstract

The aim of this article is to study how advancements in science and technology influence the implementation of the energy transition and energy efficiency for global sustainable development, using newly industrialized countries as an example. Currently, humanity faces a significant global challenge: the transition to sustainable energy sources. Science and technology play a fundamental role in addressing these issues. In particular, this research focuses on newly industrialized countries. Through cluster analysis using STATISTICA 12, the study evaluates the effectiveness of investments in science and technology, energy technologies, and the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals. The research highlights the importance of renewable energy sources for reducing carbon emissions, enhancing economic resilience, and preserving natural ecosystems. It emphasizes the crucial role of technical cooperation grants, research and development expenditures, high-technology exports, private sector investment, government flows into renewable energy, and renewable energy consumption in ensuring the energy transition. This study provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the impact of scientific and technological advancements on the energy transition worldwide.
