The article examines modern models of regional policy applied in the context of a new socio-economic reality, using examples from the regions of the Russian Federation. A comparative analysis of strategic, innovation-cluster, sustainable, socially-oriented, investment-industrial, digital, and other approaches to regional development is presented. Special attention is given to the potential adaptation of these models to the specific conditions of the Lugansk People’s Republic, with an emphasis on the need to create an adaptive model of its own, combining elements of integrative recovery, digital transformation, and technological modernization. The importance of implementing artificial intelligence and digital solutions to improve the effectiveness of regional governance is emphasized.
