The article reveals the main mechanisms of interaction between digital platforms based on the evolutionary trends preceding the development of their business models, due to their scaling capabilities. The trends in the development of digital platforms for the private and public sectors of the international and domestic markets are analyzed. Through the prism of the regulatory state mechanism, taking into account possible risks, trends in the strategic development of the platform economy in new regions have been identified. The purpose of the study was to analyze the mechanisms of interaction and regulation of digital platforms as business models in various forms and fields of activity of business entities. To achieve the research goal, the authors applied a set of special and general scientific methods, which include: methods of structural grouping and logical generalization, a systematic approach. A number of uniform rules have been developed to stimulate the introduction and regulation of digital platforms in the economy.
