The purpose of the article is to calculate the increase in the cost of an electronic board due to the increase in the cost of individual components in the structure of the product cost during the transition to a Russian component base and during the development of serial production of individual components, in which the scale effect will ensure a reduction in the conditionally fixed part of the costs. In the article, the authors conduct a numerical analysis and substantiation of the patterns and features of cost calculation of the costs of producing electronic components in the system of industrial cooperation focused on the needs of the domestic railway engineering industry. The results of the analysis allow the authors to conclude that the real cost economy with technological independence in the production supply chains of electronic components is generally competitive in price, excludes a sudden increase in overhead costs and is positively verified by a number of examples of successful entry into a competitive price that ensures the substitution of foreign analogues.
